  1. You really sound like a fancy cook!

I made this easy Shephard's Pie for dinner the other night. I browned the ground beef, added a can of Veg-All (drained) and a little olive oil. Covered it to let the vegies steam. Then I used the Ore-Ida frozen potatoes. You put the bag in the microwave and it steams the potatoes...and add butter/milk and mash. Layered the meat then the potatoes and stuck them in the oven until the peaks of the potatoes were brown. (And I put shredded cheese on mine.) It literally took less than 30 minutes to cook, and I let it bake while I gave the boys a bath!

  2. I am not a fancy cook by any means!! I really don't even like to cook at all, which is why meal planning is good for me! It gives me something to go by...I am not real good at shooting off the hip! And so far, everything I've cooked this week has been so easy!

I have never thought about putting frozen potatoes in the microwave and then mashing them. That is a great idea!! I'll have to try your Shepherd's Pie recipe one night!
